Write me
Thursday, October 11
I thought it would be good to mention that there are a number of ways to be a part of Anita Athavale music online. We have a Flicker group (where you can post photos of live performances) as well as Facebook Fan page (where you can chat with other fans and discuss the new video). The “social networking” menu on the right hand side has the icon links that will take you directly to the places you can join up.
The new web-format of my official site also allows visitors to comment on my posts. Please feel free to write your comments or replies about any of the interviews, updates or posts by clicking on the title of the post.
Lastly, my apologies to those who went to the Ship Jam on Oct 6th looking to hear me perform. It was the first time I’ve actually cancelled a show due to illness and I was sad to have to back out. I have performed before while swigging Buckley’s Cough Mixture between songs, but I know better than to try that again. I’m feeling much improved and I’m hoping to get some more shows slotted before the years end.

Site Redesign
Monday, January 22
This is the first official transmission from me to the site. I am happy to have this website up and running and ready to rock. We finished the album in 2006, but life intervened and stopped things up for a bit. It’s the New Year and it’s the perfect time for a fresh start, which brings us to the album…
“In The Noise” is my second full length and we had a nutty, hair pulling, joyous time making it. It was recorded in Calgary with a handful of very helpful gents and a sprinkling of luscious ladies too. I’m listening to it right now. It’s pretty good.
This month I’ve been thinking a lot about preparedness. I used to really just stick my hand in the fire without thinking about what a burn might feel like. Now, one can’t help but think that a little thoughtfulness might come in handy before the major action. I’m chewing on it. Things are more in the right place than they have ever been for me. I’m thinking straight and open. Just like a long calm highway under the endless prairie sky.
Ok, time for chocolate (enjoy your visit).
Namaste
